Such a nice thing to get a phone call out of the blue, made my night absolutely and for sure...thanks Al & Leah...

Received did I tonight a VERY special call,

On the phone with them I had a ball,

They spoke with an accent of the southern variety,

Both are as well known for their lasting piety…

From Tybee Island in the state of Georgia they did me call,

Some history he did speak that did of me enthrall,

About palmetto trees he did speak,

Their usages in a war that was unfortunately most uncivil,

Though I know so little therein I should not of it critique…

They were setting up digital camera and camcorder,

For pictures of the rising moon over the beaches border,

Such fine people these two are quite,

Al & Leah Wilson of the Den are the ones that called tonight…

We have to second Karla's comment! A chat with Rufuz would be most delightful and a few words with you would truely be fun! And to be in Tybee, well now that would be heaven!

Ed,

Good on you! It's always nice to hear the voices behind the poem. I'd like your number, I'd love to talk to you and Rufuz!
