Full Circle

If you missed me, it's because your aim is bad...

When one’s journey
Brings a traveler to
The same place that
The adventure began,
It is said one has come
Full circle.

As opposed to what?

The last time I saw
A half-circle
Was on an episode of
Sesame Street.”

Today’s poem is
Brought to you by
The letter “C”
For “curious about
The existence of
A quarter-circle.”

Maybe a trip to
Circleville
Might reveal the answer.

For now, though,
I’ll simply contemplate
On the idea that
A full circle is better than
An empty square.

Then again,
Only a square like me
Would ever think so.

Imagine that…

Being that my brain is an empty square, I am wondering if you sir are the same Robert I used to read and correspond with here at the Den at a time not so very long ago...if you are not, well either way I enjoyed this full circle of a write...sorry if I don't remember too well, as I always say, "Long term drug use =equals= short term memory loss, or is it the other way around, I can never remember for "some" reason...Peace thru the Write, Ed & Rufuz (w00f)

Yes!! Imagine that. I admire your gentle verse here. It appeals to every age...especially us poets who are square sometimes.

Hey! Lost a bit of weight, eh? Or are my eyes so shot I can't tell. Whatever, welcome back. You got into our funny-bone with this poem, but at the same time there was some down-home philosophizing before you got around to amusing us.
