If We Fell

Should it happen that we collide
[ two souls too alike ]
There's nothing taking me from your side
[ standing always ]
Should these winds wash us away with the tides
[ tides so strong ]
Count on me not to let go - I won't run and hide

If it were that God disagreed
[ with this love ]
I would scream in vain why he planted this seed
[ in our hearts ]
If it were that it appeared to be greed
[ to need you ]
I could count on you not to make me plead

Should the ground fall from beneath our feet
[ caving in fast ]
Hold my hand and we find no defeat
[ in this disaster ]
Should we find that we're somehow incomplete
[ incompatible ]
Check our pulses to see if as one we're off beat

If it were that the stars fled from the sky
[ to never return ]
I'd grow us both wings to take us so high
[ we'll find more ]
If it were that we were unable to fly
[ my wings fail ]
Stars of my heart divided between you and I

Should I find I am not whole
[ on my own ]
I take your hand in mine to find half of my soul
[ where it belongs ]

If it were that we had no control
[ everything would go away ]
Dig a tunnel through the clouds and climb through the hole

It should be that we've found a beautiful vision
[ way up high ]
Clouds rolling endlessly, we make a decision
[ we'll stay ]
Between you and I there is no division
[ we're one ]
Forget what I said about a possible collision
