Just one of over 30 I have written on this subject, as I teach onn the husband's role in marriage thru several different formats. There are many aspects, for sure . I wrote this one today as the MAIN ingredient lacking, in our no bottom lines, society------------------ Art

Marriage

A man will leave mother and father

and to a wife, will cleave

The question today, sems to be

How long, before he leaves?

We still call the vows, sacred

If only we knew what that meant

there would'nt be so, damn much time,

in diviorce proceedings, spent.

It's not a little matter,

especially, with kids involved

How come our parent's, parents,

their troubles always solved?

There was a time, not long ago,

When the Bible, was the bottom line

We didn't have the choices then

For His Word,

was still;

 divine.

Whom God has brought together

Let no man take apart,

These words seem so assuring,

A blessed

 way to start

But left to our own devices,

There doesn't leave much doubt,

If God doesn't rule, in every way

We'll eventually leave Him out.

And then the ego's, have their way

Who's answering to who?

The squabbles and the arguements

Become the thing to do.

Cause if, you expect of the other

what  your, not  willing to give

It won't be, oh, so very long

before together, you won't,

 be able to

live

The Bible says a husband

Should wash his bride in the Word

Be the spiritual head of the family

In Christ, keep them assured

Your duties to each other

His Word makes very clear

But your number one directive,

must be His Word to read and hear

So, make His Word

 final

Cling, to It's

hining way

Put your own way always

second,

And forever ,

 together, you'll

 stay!!!!

A Big AMEN #1 Brother Rock the marriage is so in need of revelation, instruction in this day and age of Society. It needs to be loving, sacred and it needs nourishment. Thank you for bringing forth the values of a Good marriage which can only take place with faithful Christians and God the head of the marriage. Praise the Lord.

Bless you,
Josie Girl
