Though my years may be declining
And my hair is turning gray
Though there be no silver lining
At the end of my today
I will not do any whining
 Face whatever comes my way
For I know to where I'm going
When I leave this earth one day

Our daily struggle to survive
Is a trial that must be met
No matter how we've led our lives
There will always be regrets
Throw all our worries to the wind
They can't help us anyway
Make sure we take some time to grin
Speak cheer in our words today

You've written great prose, filled with wisdom. I hope anyone who feels unworthy for feeling the rigors of old age will come to their senses after reading this inspiring poetry. Thank you so much for sharing "So What" it's "so good." My best, Gloria

All hail the supreme truth in this poetess's words! Death is but the beginning as we transend elsewhere and all in this life we shed to move on becomes distant memories, so why care or whine about the preordained which we can not change!
AWESOME WORK as always Eileen!

One garauntee in life is death. The fact that we decide where we walk and the footprints we leave behind can make us scared at death or fearless. I'm fearless just like you.
This is a thinking poem.

Success in our everday life depends on our willingness to do spiritual roadwork, month after month, year after year, hurdle after hurdle. We can't stop midway when there is inner frustration, tension, and conflict. The beauty of it all is, that the oak is hidden within the acorn and the rose hidden within the bud. Anything which comes into our lives is necessary for growth. Wonderful inner-knowing poem, Eileen!

As the late and great Little Sparrow, Edith Piaf used to sing " No Regrets "....
We must have no regrets, banish them forever with the knowledge
" That what is for us...Won't go by us "...
All is Pre-Ordained, therefore we must remain upbeat and resolute in the face of the Trials of Life, as our forefathers did in days long since past, Eileen

Strange title, I was expecting . . . Darned if I know what I was expecting. After I got here and read it, I think I understand the title a little better. Some days are not easy in this life. Some people are not the friends we think they are. So what?
