Take the time. :)
|
The sun cracks open the morn, spillin' you onto the floor. What a rude awakening. Ready or not, it's time to face the day and get a move on. Hurryhurryhurry! The minutes tick tick TICK by, passing into history with every wasted moment. Too much to do, not enough time in the day to achieve nearly impossible goals. Work yourself into a heart attack; sign your death warrant with your workaholic ways.
Now: sl o w down. Breathe. Take the time to stop and smell the roses. The day ain't goin' nowhere; it's been a constant presence; you just didn't notice it. The rising sun isn't your enemy; it is a friend to be greeted; hope and new beginnings are in the dawn. The peaceful calm of morning can set the pace for your day. And the roses - the lovely roses! The hell with it; work can wait until later. There are roses. ROses to be smelled, roses to be painted.

This is wise advice, Karla; unfortunately, in the pace of this world, it is often forgotten. Thank you for the timely reminder. Love and peace to you,

Dearest friend, time was an invention of mankind... when they had nothing better to do, LOL! Then, the next generations took such invention more and more seriously, to the point of finding themselves controlled by their own "creation" - and losing touch with true time, which is the one of Creation, thus of Roses, among other amazing elements of nature. Thank you for a gentle, wise view of truly valuable time... and with a glorious scent, too! :0)
Many roses and {{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}} with

| In other words, stop and smell the . . . Well, hell everybody knows THAT, it is just the matter of accepting the reality which proves so difficult. I know. I fought the smell of roses most of my life, and still, to this day, find myself rushing about in an embarrassing way for the sennior citizen that I have finally grown into. Good work. |

Since most of us love roses, I'm convinced that it is the only flower getting univesal approval. One can enjoy it like a partner; admire flawless beauty from a few feet away, and savor the aroma of that certain Love - up close! Ah, the rose, its quality is indescribable, even after I've tried.
Loooooove your poem! It says it just right... as your plain-out writing does in such a delightful way. - Bill

So true my young friend and some of us don't learn that valuable lesson till we face death and the end of our rose smelling years. Thanks for the gentle reminder to all.

Awww yes, so true, rush, be rushed for the rest of the day. Take it easy even if late, the rest of the day is unhurried.

Details that go to the wayside will be the details that we yearn for in later years. The simple things we take for granted are the greatest gifts God gives to us. Thank you for define the need to stop and smell the roses.
Love,
Susan |
