You wanted to watch the news,
But you stayed and snuggled in my arms-
Because you thought it would make me happy.
You wanted to get the laundry done and over with,
But you made love to me-
Because you thought it would make me happy.
You wanted to sort files and clip coupons,
But you sat and held my hand on our porch swing-
Because you thought it would make me happy.
You give up a lot to make me happy.
Everything is different for me.
There is no sacrifice in my life,
I give up nothing for you.
Because all I want in life-
Is to make you happy.

Self sacrifice is the greatest sacrifice of them all
However you must be good to your self too in life...that is love yourself...

Profound. Thanks for this one.
Had to read it twice, as it's deeper than first glance.

Beautiful, my friend. Love is putting the others needs first and that is what she is doing. I hope all is well with you and life is better. You are in my prayers as always.

Excellent. Something that speaks about a man-woman/woman-man relationship in the present times where time is measured as if it is something to be stored.

Beautiful John. making others happy should not be equated to sacrifice, but to joy!

This is nice, but I think couples need to really sit down and re-capture what makes both happy.

There are certainly a lot of sacrifices from a lot of women once they get married. In my workplace, most women who did not get married move up a whole lot faster than the ones who are married. It is because they have not spent the time to stay home with hubby and the kids.

But then again, perhaps, its what make the stay-home moms happy with their sacrifices, and their lives are filled with happines and well-worth living.
