My loved one's
Bled for this country
The right to live here
They fought to be here
Legally.
They took the classes
Learned the promises
Of All America had to offer
My family
Shed there blood
For this country.
My Family
Lived and died for
This country
And yes
They came here legally.

Michelle~
My grandpa Srdjak came on a boat to America for a better life when he was but a lad of fourteen, and back then, in order for him to live AND work in America, he HAD to learn English. He came from Croatia. Now we are catering to these Mexican illegals, and we have gotten into a sad state of affairs because we refuse to see them what they really are: lawbreakers. If they want to live or work here, they need to do it LEGALLY and learn our ways AND language. If they don't like it, they can just go back where they came from. It doesn't matter WHERE you are from: if you can't conform to our ways or values, then you don't need to be here. PERIOD.
I like what Sherry Heim said, and I couldn't agree more! BRAVA, Sherry, and Brava, Michelle, for penning such a thought provoking piece! Very well done!
God bless America again! And God bless our people and those who are trying to become citizens LEGALLY!!!!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( |

Beautifully said, Michelle and I share the same story with my family. They struggled but were proud to work and sweat to make a better life for their family. They served in our military and they flew the flag everyday making certain that it was taken down and folded before sundown. Proud to be an American, I never heard one of them praise their former country higher than the one that they came to legally and became citizens of. Today we have huge protests by people who truly have no rights to protest here and no right to be here. It is a monster of our own making and it will take all of us working together if this dragon is ever to be slain.
Take care,
Sherry |
