An indelible memory |
|
|
There’s a picture in a silver frame On the mantelpiece within my heart; Time and circumstance have never dimmed The flame of memory burning there.
Whenever I gaze within the frame, Your smile illuminates my soul, Just like the day we first discovered love That flowed between our eyes.
The years have traveled quickly, And my sight becomes less clear, But my vision of you remains as sharp As when we met and merged our hearts.
I’ll always cherish the picture In the frame upon its special place; It bears a very precious gift: My memories of you.

| To renew love through the printed word is to renew yourself. Very good. |

| Younger you were there, Bob, LOL! I like that hat, and if you want to see a pic of Rene & I in a similar pose, well, not similar, but the same kind of old fashioned photo, check out my poem...Eddie Capone & his Moll...(http://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewpoetry.asp?id=154995), I think you may enjoy it...LOL! A poignant and meaningful poem written straight from the heart. It can only touch all who read it. It touched me.
