A part of me

Today is a Happy
yet Sad day.

Seventeen years ago,
exactly, I had a CAT scan
and MRI scan of the brain.
Spent all friggin day
at the Doctors/hospital.

Results came back
toward 5pm that day.

I had a tumor at the base
of brain along with a disease
of brain called hydrocephalus.

One month to the day
toward being nineteen
years old.

Now, I shall be
Thirty-Six years
in one month.

More medical
problems have
arisen the past
five years.

Like I have said,
a good yet sad day.

Through a sad anniversary comes a bright beacon of hope. Look how long you have survived, and how the depth of your writing as improved as a result of your struggles. God can use adversity to work for good. And He has, through your pen. Blessings, Michelle
