A poem about the quiet suffering that comes with having a love that can forget you.
Oh, to wish for love so far away
To wish, oh wish, for it to come today
To hear your voice, your laugh, your smile
I wish, I wish, to sit with you a while
Waiting still and still till darkness falls
But still I wait to hear your call
And I'll still wait till up comes the sun
And wait, longer, longer still for you to come
And the sadness blends with loneliness, atlast
As it has time and time again in the past
But still I'll wait and wait, wait right here
until you give a thought to me, still waiting, filled with tears
I guess it's hard to remember me when you are having fun
Or even maybe, when at last, you're home and done
But that's okay, I'll say and keep stating
Becuase it's easier than knowing that I'll always be waiting...
