some would say
I am lacking
in wealth

for no diamond
has ever resided
on these hands

nor any bauble
glittered at my throat

even so
I am blessed with
treasures beyond compare

each day
I am graced by

the twinkle of your smile
the sparkle in your eyes
the shine from your soul

these are the gems
I carry with me

and though I donít wear them
dangling at my ears
or hanging around my neck

they are more precious to me
than any diamond
could ever be

because of you

I am

the richest woman
in the world
