Dark thoughts kind of day...

OUT  THERE SOMEWHERE

Alone I sit  to face eternity at last

Me and my naked heart stand all alone

Sins laid open to the angry skies

Where only evil now can roam

Thunder clap predicts my sentence

Lightning sheds but fractured light on me

The winds whip up their frothy brew

Seem to say drink, and find salvationís fluid key

As open tears trickle from the sky

Grief laden energy at what it isnít clear

My soul took wings to far off shores

I know it must be out there somewhere

Scary but realistic...you've captured this incident so well...

"salvation's fluid key" refreshes your soul and gives its sustenance and allows your wings to find it course ... excellent poem, Felix ...

Dark, but beautiful.

There is a glimpse of light within.

Thank you for sharing Feix and for commenting on my poem as well. xx

Deep, deep, deep as the soul and the oceans that portray it. This is stunning, Felix, and I think one of your very best. Totally agree with Susan... your Muse soars when water and spirit fly together. Although this expresses bleakness it has the crack of daylight just beaming in through it like a quickening ray. Hope is that shaft of salvation. You give much that we can relate to here, Pops, and much for us to ponder. I ADORE those unstable wooden jettys/boardwalks and can never resist strolling out on them... here it gives like a pirate plank, but the silver glimmer of angel wings await, rather than the bloated arms of ol Davy Jones, I think! Great work, Darlin. LOL Kate xx

I agree, this is 'spell binding'. There's just something mysterious about a gray, thunderstorm day...

Indeed, very dark, saddening and yet spell binding. Great art!

This photo really added to the poem. I felt the darkness across my computer screen, yet at the same time, dark times can be freeing, change somewhere in the distance and you showed this well towards the end.

Dearest Fee...
Anything to do wih water and your spirit and Muse fly together. You have an incredible ability to create indepth and graphic prose with the heart of a sailor. I do admire that heart and soul of Felix Perry the Poet.
Peace and harmony,
Susan
