there is a darkness
that sets within me
it rises with the sun
and when I think Iíve become exhausted
it rises again, with the night

this darkness, like a friend
familiar in all the wrong places
resides not at all within my heart
but in the rest of me

for in my heart lives light and love
beauty, grace and most of all
where someday light will shine
like truth
burn out the night
and death will end my days

until that time
darkness, friend of night
shroud to all of light
crash upon the shore
let salt lick away your waves
harbor friend
harbor love(r)
let the cusp of time fade away.

I can completely relate to the sentiments and emotions expressed via your verses, Sara. Obviously, this darkness is a source of inspiration for you and it enables you to share your creative gift. For that also, I am grateful. Love, peace, and strength to you, Sara,
