Think happy thoughts,” he said today
Then he was on his way
Advise is one thing I do need
Especially today
I sat outside in the sun
Among tall pines and birds
Then closed my eyes
Shut out the light
Then thought of dreams… absurd
Escape was where I headed
Into the far beyond
To fantasy of beauty
Of stars to wish upon
I zoomed through cotton candy
A pastel sweet abyss
Then drifted even lighter
For the passion that I’ve missed
I landed in a valley
Of lime-kissed jewels…fine
With blades of tea green grasses
Spun glass with see-through shine
Way off into the distance
Up high on mountaintop
Silver foiled sweet kisses
And a juicy red rolled pop
Just like a mad volcano
Without the crimson flow
Instead just fine-tuned bubbles
Erupting oval blows
Caught up by whispered breezes
Then blown out far and wide
I dallied there for minutes
Looking at this great divide
Just then my eyes were opened
As my thoughts returned to thee
Should I fall behind another time
Please promise, “Wait for me!”
You special man of wisdom
With dreams in you I’m caught
With whispered ease you gave to me
This day of “Happy Thoughts!”
