I heard the music

Music. Lovesongs never get old!

I walked passed by  the cafe we shared
I tried to pretend that I didn't care
tried to pass by and not stare.........
but I heard the music play

That song on the jukebox inside
near our table by the window
opened up old familiar feelings
I thought had gone, had died

The crooner's voice drew me in close
echoing words we spoke in whispers
hands clasped, laughter aloud
our minds and hearts in the clouds

Dancing, held so close
yet not moving at all
our love rained down
like a waterfall
time and space, mere words
nothing exists, except the image
of me in your eyes, and you in mine

I heard the music play
and I smiled that day
remembering a love now gone
but the music we made will live on

Oh this is so true Denise the spirit of love never dies even when all the hurt and anger subsides and betrayals are forgiven the love lives on forever in the memory.
