A poem in a form of my devising which I will call a Mirror, being twelve lines of nine syllables each in two verses, and having the rhyme scheme ABABCC / DDEFEF, reflective and contemplative in nature. Would anyone else like to write a Mirror? Let this be "+Stevie's Challenge."
Never and Always
If I should see those lips being kissed By another unworthy of her Then I would see those joys I have missed Which will always be yet never were How they could never belong to me We will always be a fantasy
Dreams never die but I do and you No one can live as long as dreams do I have had enough of dreams and pain To last me past the end of my days I hope I never see her again But I will remember her always
