No tree has branches so foolish as to fight among itself...old native proverb

Let it flow, the beauty of love
The goodness of mercy
The sweetness of peace
Let it cascade into rivers of hope

Hope for a world awakened to its Creator
Becoming aware of Him in us
For we all have the same source
A divine creation from a perfect love

Evil surrounds us and we absorb it through hating it, rather than defeating it by loving it...

Yes, if we realize who we are and what powers are available to us, we can defeat evil with love, instead
of perpetuating it by fearing it and inflaming it, with our worst instead of our best

Listen to your heart sing when you know love
Feel  exquisite passion too intense to describe
And when the intensity of flame dies
Remember to accept the embers for they are
The results of love and given a chance can satisfy
True love will never turn to ashes

Become love and it will become you
Intermingled and able to be shared
Bringing hope to a dying world
Love is the only way to keep it alive

The power of unconditional love is unrelenting and as unyielding as the grave... is that Song of Songs? Seems as much a paradox as the fact that the continuous outpouring of love can turn black to white and break down bitter walls of hatred... amazing but true. You pen an eternal mystery here - and Truth! TY Kate xx

Tomorrow we reap the fruit of todays toil . We are born with a path that opens for us to tread. We are given the opportuities to choose and we make the decisions that form who we are. Hopefully we make the correct ones. This poem of wisdom can be saved to be read again and again and passed around for it's message of good.
Thank you!

True, that we "absorb(evil)through hating it"--giving it life adding fuel to the fire! But first we have to acknowledge that evil within us. We can't believe that "they" are differant. We are all refined from the same fire. I'm reminded of a discussion I had with an intructor who was a survivor of the Nazi death camps. She saw Hitler as an anomally, a breed apart and inhuman. There is a danger in that.
Of course he was a monster, but that seed is in all of us. We CHOOSE love or hate, as you've expressed. Beautiful write, Eileen...

A beautiful exposition on what God has called us to do. Would that all would feel this compassion and love for each other and peace would reign on this earth.

Love along with prayer are the most powerful forces in the world...
We should always be looking for the good to take from every bad situation, and by converting hatred into love...
That is the best way forward, Eileen !

Beautiful words to live by . . . For some. I have made my own peace with the God who lives within me. He is a vengeful God, although He is a God of Peace. I will never love the people who are tryng to destroy me and mine and in the process, destroy the God I love. You walk a different path to salvation than I, but I feel we shall meet someday and compare notes.
