| It is my understanding that this rite sometimes continues even here in the United States. Horrific. People believe as they have been taught. What I did not realize is that so many deaths occur. I am so glad that you brought our attention to this. Is there anything that we can do? |

Female Genital Mutilation is an act of barbarism which should be eradicated.
And I truly hope your message will be heeded, Abdi-Noor. |

| Brother Abdi-Noor would that the right to a non-barbairic life become a rite of passage for girls and women become a reality in Africa and worldwide is a dream I fear not to see in my lifetime. So sad when we look closely at the real reason behind this alleged rite practiced by women but no doubt designed by men. I am saddened beyond description. Peace, love, and blessings my warrior friend. <Mikii> |

One wonders when it will end Abdi Noor! P pray it will be soon! It is a shame that the practice still exists in some nations, if only they could become educated!God let it be so!
