Often time my soul takes flight Like a ray of cosmic light More rapid than the speed of sound On wings of thought I leap and bound Through the long winter night Like a wayward bird to alite On your snowy window-sill To watch in silence as you write And to wonder at your feathered quill. And I hear the swishing of your pen Like the whispering of wind The ticking of a meter The clicking of a heater And in time The silence of your mind The beating of your heart Another form of art. You hear The swish of wings in the night The sound of owls taking flight Echoes of childish laughter trailing behind like vapors of light... Eagel is symbolic of the mind. Sometimes the mind soars. Sometimes it crashes. ��
