Pondering...the Attributes of Salt

SALT...causes thirst
         ...dries the blood
         ...and irritates,
              old wounds.

CONVERSELY,

SALT...adds flavor
         ...preserves
         ...aids in rapid healing
         ...prevents stumbling, falling
         ...slipping or sliding,
            in dangerous conditions.

WITHOUT SALT

AND A GNAWING THIRST...
                                            One reaps only
                      ...BLAND REWARDS.

IF  HUMANS WERE TO EXPERIENCE
                                             ONLY PAINLESS
                                                            INJURIES, AND
INJUSTICES...
there would be no real growth,
                           ...and NO REASON FOR SALT.

SALT-IN-THE-SHAKER...
                                             is meaningless;
It is...an unfulfilled promise.

IT HAS BECOME A PRESERVATION UNTO...
                            ITSELF.

JESUS said that...WE ARE!...THE SALT OF THE EARTH.

SHAKE YOURSELF UP...
                                           POUR YOURSELF OUT `````
SCATTER YOUR ATTRIBUTES... :::::::::::::::::::::
                                                       AND [PRESERVE],
THE INTEGRITY...
                                 OF YOUR GOOD TASTE!

* You are the salt of the earth.  But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?  It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men...Jesus, St. Matthew 5:13

Exceptionally creative Rhonda, and quite profound in its entirety.

I believe that this is your best construct, not only in its practical applications, but also in light of Christ's eternal Truth.

Well done!

If I shake myself out, there will be nothing left of me...better to just throw a little of myself or salt over the shoulder for good luck...Ed

Great layout. Very creative and we are the salt of the earth and as he said: what good is salt if it's lost it's flavor, and His Spirit tells: it's also, not as good without His, fervor. Art---- Keep up, the truth speaking, and don't give in to any pleas to dilute your salt with lies and easy believism. Art

Very wise and oh so true
I guess thats why salt is used in so many expressions as well
it covers so many human situations
from the bible to shaking things up
