Writers Block

A drunk old sot
Watches the clock
In his shirt-tail
And only one sock
'Tick-tock, Tick-tock
Writers block, writers block.'
The clock doth mock.
He glares at his screen
As if in a dream
But no words come to mind
Not one clever rhyme
Does he redeem.
'Tick-tock, writers block
A sot in a sock
With writers block.'
The clock doth mock.
Then something rings a bell
But the only word he can find
To rhyme wit bell
Is tail, hell and jail
Soon they're forgot
While the clock doth mock
'Writers block, tickety-tock.'

There once was a sot by the clock
Could not write, he had writer's block
Off to sleep he nodded
His keyboard he prodded
When he woke, on the screen was a shock

Anyway. An enjoyable sharing, Judy. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

Regis
