When visiting the den,
Its good to bring a pen,
Though to write without one,
Is certainly & completely quite Zen…
If you stop by to poet,
You must first of yourself know it,
Do not off more than you can chew, bit,
As long as the poeting light is well lit,
You can write to your hearts content,
Explaining away your inner torment…
To write of the self is effacing,
Making your self quite inconspicuous,
Remember when using the rubber end of a pencil,
There in you may be of yourself, possibly erasing…
Any subject is reason enough to poet,
Your past, present or future are likely themes,
Writing of the above or of your dreams,
All of which can of others make them scream,
With horror or laughter, either way, what the hell go to extremes…
