With these illustrations I want to thank the Gods for having crossed enormous distances to create our civilization. Without their courage we wouldn’t exist...

Am writing this as I watch the sunset filter through the trees
It being Fathers Day I spent the morning with mine as I sometimes do.
Rose early taking rod and tackle to a secluded spot.
Cast ted out my line and found a comfortable plaace to watch the bobber gentlly rock in the waves
Soon I was back to place on the Misssissippi near our Minnesota home. It was a place where any subject could be said between a grown son and his dad
For years I couldn't understand why Dad never caught a fish until I saw he never baited his hook
From then on I never baited mine
Except for a firm hand shake Dad's generation showed no affection to thier sons
On the river bank I received much better than a hug
Some find sandness in lettilng their minds relive old memories
I do it often to recharge my life
To live and enjoy life to the fullest

I think you did, Ron; and having fished the Mississippi myself up in Minnesota, I think you and your father have picked a wonderful spot.

This is a sweet and memorial tribute to you and your father and the way silent dedication can grow between a father and his son. Well done Ron!
