To a Dancing Star

A soaring eagle flies
Across the endless skies
And his wondering eyes
Sharp and all seeing
Does not look to recognize
The lowly little being
In her rags of light
Just a common sight

Among the roses, a dandelion
A wingless thing trapped in time.
A dancing star pauses to see
Her beneath a willow tree
And on a rainbow colored ray
he lifts her up and far away
Across the long Arabian night
In her rags of light.

She sheds her rags of light
They fall like comets white
As beyond and above
She dances with her love
Dances through the galaxy
Dressed in pure transparency
Dances with her rainbow star
Far beyond the spectrum's bar.
