It's hard for children to understand,
When it comes to the ways of a Mother,
They think she'll always be there,
They'll always have each other.
If only they could realize,
The heartache she goes through,
If only they would listen.,
To what she tells them to do.
If only they could hear,
Her heart that beats inside,
If only they could count,
The many nights she cried.
If only they would take some time,
And walk a mile in her shoes,
Maybe then they would realize,
The pain a Mother goes through.
So make every day a special day,
Love her like no other,
Worship the ground she walks on,
Because you only have one Mother.

| a mother's love is a blessing, love her as in childhood, you'll miss her when she goes... from an irish folk song, Alice, and saying exactly what you are saying in your lovely poem. Our loved ones wait for us in the spirit world, of course! All the best! kenny |
