Ahead of Golden Sunsets

Ahead of golden sunsets
When light turns mellow and warm
Gentle silhouettes stretch out
Blue shadows fingering long

Lil’creeper plant, boiling in today’s hot sand,
Please tell me, where do you want to go?
Don’t you know, right there, it’s the beach’s end
Where salty tidal currents flow?

Sand grain haze drifts over the naked shore
Life pushes forward- It cannot do else
Craving for a happier ‘morrow
She may not dare to sense

Hi Franz,

This is like my life, always reaching out in the wrong direction, getting sand kicked in my face, being tumbled on the shore, and left for dead. LOL...well, maybe not that bad, but that was the mood your wonderful poem put my mind into. And I love the photo accompanying this piece.

Love,
Sara
