So glad I stumbled upon this, never knew you had a mind to write like this, but then I should have. After all we are two halves of the same whole.

We have created what is. Cause and affect. We are not puppets dangling on the end of a string. There are always two outcomes for any given course. We choose. What is the choice of our hearts? It seems those who hope to control the world for gain choose death, again & again.

If humanity really wanted to live in peace, we would. But the ideals of some throw us into bloody fields of violence and in the end - the cycle of hate continues onward devouring an entire world. Your poem reminds me of a song by the late Jim Croce:"Which Way Are You Goin'" :) Peace to you braveheart.

Yep. There are more than one nation a-dying these days. I am of the mind that the smarter we get the stupider we are. Where's Will Rogers when you need him? As far as that goes, wither is God when you need Him? The world is imploding.

Susan,
Heartbreaking, powerful write; well done. Our Nation is dying as well....and it's only going to get worse, I'm afraid. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

In JFK Mr. X says to District Attorney Jim Garrison:
"Sometimes I think the organizing principle of any society is for war. The authority of the state over its people resides in its war powers."
Of course JFK is a movie. The suffering of the victims of the wars referred to, is real. The number of victims consists of domestic and foreign sufferers. The money to bomb victims abroad is stolen from victims at home; the Pentagon's accountants have been unable to trace dozens of trillions dollars over the past decades. No sane person wants war, only the people's leaders do, because what Mr. X stated, is true. Unless we cease to defend two tongued leaders, this situation will last forever. Or at least until domestic victims will no longer be capable of providing the funds for their leaders to wage war. They have created an environment in which peace cannot be achieved without a fight.

(((Susan ))) it’s so hard to fully figure out the hearts and minds of souls on this planet.. I leave it all up to the Father who can make or break a nation fully.. I try everyday to pray intercede for the families of fallen and the families of ones in combat. Also we desperately need to intercede for the countries that are trying to help Iraq.. Prayer is number one and I ask others to contribute.. Many countries are represented in Iraq and they need daily intercession along with the beloved families for strength in every way strength and to COME HOME SAFELY !!.. I trust God is in control and He NEVER forsakes His children, never, ever. WE believe His children will not be forsaken. Yet He gave us all FREE WILL.. It’s a catch 22.. Thank you for your compassion!!!
Peace & Love, Dove

Extraordinary hopefulness dear Susan and an excellent write.
Too many I have conversed with as of late are aptly akin to your description: "eyes dead in sockets" bound blindly between the self-imposed blinders they have allowed in their own lives about everything except their own animal lusts.
I believe it is time to look up and cry out lest more than necessary perish in the coming bloody deceptive transition.

If only, Susan! I feel the anguish that wrote this and of course I agree with the premise. But we musn't forget there is an Armaggedon to come and it must have it's prelude! We can hope and pray, but we also must be aware that Creator has the last say!
