at least I have the sky
puffy clouds, setting sun
natures beneficial canopy
and a warm pool always beckoning
“come, make circles inside your menagerie”
with fluffy cats and a cuddly dog
always loving, always giving
never angry, never sad
smiling, always smiling
my friends, my love...enchanté
forever soft, full of love
not knowing of a circle of hate
a covered wagon of a man
demanding all of “the” attention
outwardly being by my side
inwardly a billion light years away
help, who will save me now? sigh
thankfully, at least I have the sky
to dream my time away

"thankfully, at least I have the sky
to dream my time away"
This sums it up very nicely, Sara. A compelling poem. Thank you for sharing it. Love and peace,
