My life's a bed of roses, you say this can't be true
It is from where I'm standing, then again, it's just my view

So much love I've gathered, along life's path each day
Then pain and dissappointment, put choas in my way

Sickness may rear its ugly head, bills begin to grow
A day without misfortune, some people never know

Each move I make toward the light, seems to be in vain
Refusing to believe, I lose more than I gain

When I think I can't go on, I hear a distant voice
Your life is what you make it, only you can make that choice

I know that I am always blessed, they'll never break the spell
The thorns are a reminder, of the roses that I smell

How very true...Life is what you make it..
I always adopt the attitude that life is a bowl of cherries...
Just reach out and pick them...;)
