DESERTED

If you could see me now, youd see how Ive grown.
And maybe Id know why you left for reasons unknown.
A departure you made, so sure youd never be found.
A curse on you should history come around.
No chance of knowing if there was a bond,
Left alone to survive this raging pond.
A trend you made, not a fashion but still a fad.
Angered and pained should I call you dad?
No male to rely on, no figure of permanence.
A motherly love her best was innocence.
A man youre called, but a father you shouldve been.
I look inside and hate what Ive seen.
A likeness of you is natural,
The images it creates are factual.
A willingness to change from being the same,
Disowned and not knowing, I will not play your game.
Away from me you ran, mine I will show how.

If you could see me now

There is an incredible strength in this poem - because of you. Cycles have to be broken and can be. This is a testament to your Mother's love.

Blessings,
Kathy
