Encountering Life
Life is meant for us to share,
treasure and never look back,
for it is how we show we care,
when the courage we often lack.
Travel down the narrow hall,
searching behind each door,
trying not to stumble and fall,
and end up down on the floor.
Living life in a constant whirl,
each step can be a push or tug,
head spinning in a dizzy swirl,
often we’re no wiser than a bug.
In anger we see shades of red,
the choices are ours to decide,
but wrong ones can’t be shed,
for no one or thing can provide.
Struggling in a constant motion,
passing thru the corridors of time,
uncertainties upon the vast ocean,
but it’s really all within the mind.
