| Oh! how fragile life is, in youth and health we don't even think about it. But really every day is a gift. What a beautiful tribute to your lost friend. She will live forever in your heart and in this poem. Sorry for your loss. Pierre. |

Awwww. Just today a friend sent me a Lance Armstrong wristband from America. Her sister is fighting the very same battle.
In rosebud it captures everything. From the seed through to the beauty, then the earthly wilting.
Bloody damn shame when this happens to a lady who is a lover of life.
Yet now she blossoms in Gods garden, after leaving her precious memories, finishing Gods purpose here. Those will never wilt... |

An incredible memorial to your friend Susan. I related so much for two reasons: 1)I had cancer and came close to losing my life. 2) A dear friend once sent me a beautiful picture of a rose and wrote a gorgeous inspirational poem to go along with it. Whenever I felt down or was filled with despair, I'd remember her words and it gave me so much encouragement.
Well done!

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your friend, but to have someone care and love her enough to write such a heart warming poem I'm sure made her life just that much more worthwhile. Well written tribute.

I lost my best friend to cancer some years ago Susan. Betsy left two little boys behind...and I miss her like it was yesterday. If I might, may I borrow a petal from your bud and share it with her. You are a very special friend to have imortalized your beautiful friend with your sterling pen and gift of words. Her life's bud blossoms on the page.
Love,
Taylor |

"With this poem somehow she is immortal now"-- Made so by the permanence of these line's eternal beauty--by the inspiration that moved the poet's pen to produce them--by the rose of the love that is friendship and that continues to blossom in the poet's heart.

Susan,
The poem is really sweet. It reminds me so much of how frail life really is. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about so many people that have left here that I've loved so much. Your last line is so true about some of those that loved life so that have left us. |
