Ouch. Feeling it today.

notes of pain; a symphony
of fibromyalgic songs
echoing through the body,
clamoring for attention:
a talent show of sorts, these
duets of muscles and joints
singing in harmony, with
me punctuating the high
parts with screams of misery.

Karla, this is the best poem I've seen explaining a day in the life of a fibromylgia sufferer. Been there, done that, hated it, got the T-shirt, left the building.

How amazing that your pen so skillfully turns screams of misery into songs of triumph. Beyond the agonies of the body, and even those of the mind, the splendour of your soul clearly rules:-) Thank you for shining the beauty of its light.
