I think it is self explanitory-of course, now i also have a four-year-old to include in the entourage!!!

Up at five- lingering sleep
Make coffee, empty the dishwasher, pull on my boots
A three cat, two dog entourage join me at the door
Clean the stalls, feed and water
A pound of oats for Tribute, two for Angel
Pat the necks of the mares
Kiss the foal’s velvet noses

Shower, dress, fill my coffee
Five minutes of music as I drive

“Good morning kids,” I smile and wink
“May I sharpen my pencil?” “Teacher I need help.”
Writing, history, p.e., math – Ah, lunch!
Reading, and finally behavior skills
Send them home with love

Read their papers, enter grades
Home – feed, water, clean stalls, and ride
Take the garbage to the road, mow the lawn
Fix the fence, call my kids

A quilt of memories wraps around me
Jay Leno is in mid-sentence
I drift off to sleep
