A man was killed here
A woman was raped there
Crime took place
Not too far away
From where you stayed
Yet you didn't stop it
Nor did you speak of it
But when a bomb falls
In thousand miles away
You just pick up the pen
Blow a whistle of agony
What can we call you?
A hypocrat ?

I read several of your poems but this one stuck out the most. It is a gem. It is powerful, thoughtprovoking and moving. Well done sir.

I do not think this is true - We try , in our community, to stop crime by punishing the criminal. We see it here every day just about. But we have laws to protect us. And we do acknowledge these laws and try to do something about it. We have court and juries to judge and also a judge to sentence and try to the best of our ability to give him-her a fair trial. A bom is another thing - it is mast killing and yet we try, to the best of our ability, to stop this and punish those who do these things..

Perhaps; perhaps. But being so far removed from the violence you see every day, we've become apathetic to what you face. I do pray for you, your family, your Nation; that's all I can do. What else can I do? Excellent, shattering poem...well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
