These are reposts from several years ago when I did different styles with the
whimsybugg club....

*****************
 2 animal cinquain  24682 syllables

Furtive
midnight power
stalking in the darkness
like a haunting apparition
Panther

The pride
Moves stealthily
No male roaring as yet
Lioness scouts food for her cubs
All eat

*******************

Englyn each line 7 syllables
rhyme triplet --Topic Wind

In Like a Lion Out Like a Lamb

Like a hurricane he came
Nothing about him was tame
Boreal they called his  name

A whirlwind out of the past
My heart was swept up real fast
But I knew  it could not last

Sometimes he was a cyclone
Chilling me down to my bones
While stirring up all the drones

Nothing was normal with him
He did things to please his whim
His tastes were full to the brim

Blizzards he came with to chill
Because it gave him a thrill
To weaken my power of will

Like a zephyr at midnight
He took to the sky in flight
Leaving me to face my plight

etw-
*********************

3 Senryu-5-7-5

Try to shut out world
Dreams of cabin in the woods
Write to hearts content

Words coming alive
Dancing across the pages
Into someone’s heart

Poem becomes flesh
Dwelling among the masses
Living forever

etw

Old but not tired, this collection is quite amazing, and the imagery dances on the page for me. Tigers, Panthers, Lions - my favourite three - here you brought two of them to life for me - really lovely pictures in my head. Your Englyn...I think this guy gets around, in many forms! Damn sure I know one just like him. lol. Whimsybugg Club - what a really great name, sounds like it was fun! Thanks for cheering me Eileen, here's to 'living forever'. Love Panda :)

I love the idea of the Whimsybugg Club and I do respect the creativity you found while a member. I also would like to team up with Ed and let's all make a great "go of it". I'm sure there would never be writer's block for any of us either. We have a Humbridge Center here in Clayton, where a grant puts together writers, artists and chefs for a week. Some serious creativity comes out of these get togethers. We all need to find a location to go and be together...share our muse, respectively, and even get political.
Your imginative moments have me craving more from all of us who get along.

it's always a good idea for a poet to explore various genres or approaches to their writing ... helps develop their poetic flexibility ... i enjoyed reading these ...

You wrote very differently then EILEEN.

You have grown in the area of spirituality in your present writes. And your particular genius, as a writer then, still shines brightly now. You are a true poet, one I respect!

Peeps with this kinda grasp with words seem to be able to do just about anything.. Versitile is the word I'm searching for this morning...
