A demonstration of how such stories as Aesop's Fables, student word play, inadvertent slips of the lip can contribute to hilarious verbal and written language mishaps...

My days are wakened with shine from above
And crystal blue tears from the night before
The dew that awakens each budding flower
The early of earliest hazy soft shower
Mornings of riches starting again
Over and over with natures great hands
Each flower is drenched with loving tears
In early arising there's love everywhere
Then here on the marshes each reed is a shine
With tumbled down rays of golden...all mine.
Or yours cause I share the glory of God
On a day like today with a golden haired nod
The brilliance of waking to sounds of the fen
Is heaven on earth as each new day begins.

Such a joy it is, to forget everything else for awhile and just get lost in the appreciation of the beauty in nature as it fills our senses. Beautiful writing and expression. Pierre.

A gorgeous image, masterfully woven into the text of your poem Susan.

I just love when mornings look as such, and even moreso how the environment plays upon the psyche and imagination.

And once again today I agree with Sir Peter, especially his first sentence. You are masterful painter with words, one I admire. Your constructs are like lovely herb tea and flowers just opening in the morning sun.

You are a gifted and highly talented writer, who is at home in all genres, but it is in your element of nature that you truly blossom..

When you are out there alone, lost in the magic of the Great Outdoors, you don't need anybody else's approbation or approval to be just yourself..

Fabolous graphic shows the indefinable appeal of the fens..

In early arising there's love everywhere

There truly is, and that's why I still get up very early every morning, even in this summer's heat wave. Best time to see nature's love is definitely early morn.

Susan please take my shakey hand and hungover head and my suffering from lack of sleep body for a quiet walk with you through the fen. It sounds heavenly.

You managed to combine enviornmentalist's dream and God's word in the same beautiful poem without insulting either of them. THAT takes some doing, but I'm not surprised, I've been reading you for a while now.
