With  irridescent gossamer wings
one lovely dragonfly  sings a song so
soft and sweet butterflies  flutter by to
listen as the moon in blue melancholia
glistens, and fireflies gather to warm the worthy assemblage of  the Lepidopterous family~ as one of the  beautiful green gypsy moths prepares to  give a message of hope to all the antennaed friends in heavenly places
that are not adorned with human faces

It is that  maniacal madness of  man will not destroy them~ as the Earth brings destruction upon itself, some of the lesser winged insects, such as mosquitoes, flies, fleas, and others will
bring more and more deadly viruses to the human race than they could ever bring to the insect world Upon hearing this the gathering expressed it's sadness for the plight of man, then began to flit about pairing up for a variety of dances while the moon became golden, fairies and elves appeared and stardust in a kaleidescope of colors luminesced as it was spread among all the happy little flitterbugs

~Meanwhile on earth~ man in all of his  brilliance ~ continues in ignorance as it wars against itself destroying everything in its path~ living under  the illusion that they can handle anything~ while they play their virtual reality games~

Yes the human race really does seem to be punching that self destruct button, quite arrogantly. Truly lovely imagery glides us to take stock and shape up in this superb piece Eileen. Love Panda :)

Living where I do, in the bayous of Louisiana, I have seen what man has done to our planet. My home has changed much in the years I have been on this earth and sadly for as many of us who mourn the loss, there are so many more who just do not understand. Your piece is beautiful and the presentation was wonderful.

Unfortunately, I think man will have to destroy his earth before he realizes his mistake and make the earth the Eden it was supposed to be upon its creation...beautiful little creatures of Natures creation...Ed

Man don't create as much as destroy, and why, greed and jelousy are at it's root. Yup bring back the melting pot..

When I saw fireflies for real I was gob smacked, same as hearing crickets at night, thought it was just a disney thing..

Sometimes I believe that man has the collective brain of a gnat, and that they are all led by the snout by a few " smart asses " who pull all the global strings and switches..

Your extraordinary repost and its beautiful collage of pictures, demonstrates this fact quite clearly...

This is not God's World we are living in...It is Satan's World..

Very powerfully penned, Tiger Lily, and if only that weren't true - what a magnificent place this planet we call home could be.

And what truly marvelous pictures those are.
