Amazing steadfast love...When you think about it, do we deserve it? Not really, but that's just the way it is...and I'm so glad! I'm sure you are too!

Steadfast

By

We rip holes in the ozone layer

Rage wars in diverse places

Wilfully challenge His commandments

Add to that ignoring the Lord’s Prayer

Or worst of all dispute that He exists

And insist that we know better

Yet, in spite of our disobedience

God is steadfast in His love

He sends the seasons

Just the same

As day follows night

He holds not back

The air we breathe

Nor spitefully declare

We’re a hopeless, stubborn lot

And in frustration press the delete button

Instead He waits

With Fatherly patience

For us to come to our senses

Like the misguided Prodigal son

Wanting back into the fold

How amazing is that I ask

To serve such a loving

Steadfast God of grace!

“I will arise and go to my father and will say to Him,

Father I have sinned against Heaven

And before thee…”

(Luke 15:18)

Precious and brilliant, Lena!

You are reaching deep into the minds of your readers...
and prayerfully, promoting changes of hearts: '...for as a man/woman/child thinks, so they become.'

Excellent in every way!

A brilliant write Lena. We do indeed act like children, if not spoiled bratz! A great message, thought provoking!

His love is forever but our obstinence is strong. You wrote this well. by the way, Richard, the delete button may be a mute point if the computer crashes. Is that our fate?
God Bless,
Lew

No the "delete" button is not yet, though I believe the "restructuring" button is soon to be pushed.

Such wisdom flows through your pen dear Lena. Always palatable, and always nourishing to the mind and soul. You are a rare blessing! There is no argument one can mount against what you write because it has sprung from the heart of our Creator.

In fraternity and vision ...
