Do we really appreciate the love of our savior? Do we love him enough to change our lives to serve him better. Are we willing to give full thanks for the freely given gift from God?

High above the Crowd Below

He stood on the mountain high above the crowds below

Standing on the top of the hill

Telling the people of his Fathers love, it's radiant warm glow

The crowd below listened to him quietly and still.

When he entered the city they waved palm branches as a way to welcome him

They applauded and cheered but their praises would grow dim

For in a short bit of time their praises became jeers

They mocked him and cursed him as his eyes brimmed with tears.

He once again was high above the crowds but nailed upon a cross

Yet, he prayed to the Father to forgive them ofknew not of their loss.

The sun refused to shine and the earth around them quaked that day

For the Son of God hung on that cross, the price for our sins to pay.

When I see the cross which is empty with my Lord not hanging there

It is a reminder he paid a horrible price to lift me out of deaths snare.

The empty cross reminds me that he defeated death for me

He paved the way for you and I to enter Heaven for eternity

Look up, my friend to the Lord Jesus Christ as you start each and every day

And as you start that day, my friend make sure to take time to pray

To the one who paid the highest price for you and me and all our sin.

And thereby wipe them away so our salvation he could win

Praise God and praise the son and praise the Holy Spirit

And praise the word of god and happy are those who hear it.
