If you guess who this is ... give yourself five points

HE WAS THE CURLY HAIRED KID WHO WORE THE BUDDY HOLLY'S GLASSES

AT SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES HE GAVE PIANO CONSERTS TO PLEASE HIS MOTHER

HE HAD NO LIKE OF SPORTS...BUT WROTE THE SCHOOL SONG STILL BEING SUNG TODAY

FROM HIS MOTHER CAME THE MUSIC... FROM HIS FATHER CAME HIS PRIDE

DID NOT TAKE THE EASY PATH ...BLAZED A NEW TRAIL OF HIS OWN

HIS HERO WAS WOODY AND STILL IS TODAY

THE STONES HE FOLLOWED ARE STILL ROLLING TODAY

GONE NOW ARE THE GLASSES... THE HAIR IS STILL CURLY TODAY

I  STILL LOOK FORWARD TO EACH WORD HE HAS TO SAY

This would be Bobby Zimmerman and one of my favorite poets to this day. You were fortunate to have him as a friend growing up in Hibbing, MN.

Looks like you're feeling much better and I'm happy that you're back here at Author's Den. keep getting better...take care!
