This is a sumptuous piece Susan.
The rhythm and flow draws the reader along like a gentle stream. And when you step out of the stream you feel as if you're covered in gold dust.
You are the Southern Belle extraordinaire!

Susan, this write is resplendent in its passages. It reminded me of the first verse of The Song of Solomon; 'Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth - For your love is better than wine.'
The accompanying photograph is equally lovely.

Oh Susan, this is beyond WOW...just dreamy, luscious poetry at it's very finest...worth many, many reads and saving with my most treasured ones. Where ever did you find tht incredible picture? I know it has to be Savannah/Tybee...but it takes me to the marshes of Glynn nearby and all the history that I love about St. Simon's Island....a place I used to visit yearly as a child and an adult and read in native Eugenia Price's historical fiction novels. It sets the tone for passion, mystery, and utter romance. Your poem is the plu-perfect compliment!
Love,
Taylor |
