from The River of Winged Dreams

Dear Readers,

Thank you for your interest in this title. I’m happy to announce it is now available in a new book that I invite you to view and purchase if you wish by clicking on  The River of Winged Dreams

As you bury flesh––
honor spirit, savor hope,
cherish memory.

 Consider heaven
as a world-weary stranger
asleep in your heart.

Quote words that affirm
all men and women are your
brothers and sisters.

Pull the child away
from feeding at the mule’s tail.
Give the baby food.

Compassion crowns the soul with its true st victory.
Hearts rebuilt from hope resurrect dreams killed by hate.
Souls reconstructed with faith transform agony into peace.
Wisdom applied internally corrects ignorance lived externally.

Dare to love yourself
as if you were a rainbow
with gold at both ends.

Write a soft poem
to one you called bitch, shit head,
nigger, fag, white trash.

Live certain days dressed
in your lover’s smiling soul
while she, he, wears yours.

Imagine your mind
wings intent on expanding
and watch your joy fly.

Love & wisodm true. What stuck out for me was;
Pull the child away
from feeding at the muleís tail.
Give the baby food.
What a frank image.

It's such a good thing: FAITH! As it can give strength to human's hope, which enhances life to continue its fights against doubts and stresses in today's world of little peace. "Let God be God" Blessings!!!

Your poem my brother reaffirms we are spiritual being above all else we know and that we are connected to the universe where we are all attached for the greater good and design. When we learn to appreciate each day that we are granted in this brief physical existence we become prayer and life and death are one but most of all eternal. When the Creator gave your spirit a body He gave more hope to the world. Peace!!!

The painting is an inspiration in itself.
The poetry is like a book of inspiring quotes, all from Aberjhani.
I think I like #2, the first 3 lines of #1, and the healing counsel of "write a soft poem to..." in #3. Forgive me for dissecting your work, it contains so many good thoughts!

I love the power in the commanding statements (section 3), the beautiful affirmations, the weeping, the "in-you-face" attention from everything human that commissions us to behave like the Divine.

I'm so glad I took the time to read this after studying the news texts about Comair flight 5191 which saddens my heart, but strenghthens my commitment to make the most of this frail fleshly life by giving even more of myself away to others. We don't have to be old to be swept away, and God's timing is a wakeup call for everything that happens in this world to us is a lesson for those of us who remain.

blessin's, you need to be in the Hall of Poet Fame (if there ain't one there should be. . .and you'd be a stellar contender Brotha Aberjani.)

Exceptional piece, Aberjhani. I especially like this:

"Dare to love yourself
as if you were a rainbow
with gold at both ends."

Excellent work.

This is a gorgeous affirmation! It is so easy to get lost in the day-to-day 3D funk and inertia. This motivates the soul to reach for higher ground!

"Dare to love yourself
as if you were a rainbow
with gold at both ends." is just one of my favorite passages.
as is "
Live certain days dressed
in your loverís smiling soul
while she, he, wears yours." but then, I love them all. Thank
you for all you do, and have done {and will}, to promote peace,
equality, understanding, and compassion. Always, and Then, Bro, Always, and Then 'Pea' <3

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.

A wise exhortation, Poet Aberjhani, to view ones surroundings and enemies through the eyes of love and forgiveness. Releasing oneself from the mental and emotional shackles that invariably imprison the soul, will always liberate the heart and mind to soar above the clouds.

The view of Eagles transcends the view from behind the mules tail.

I salute you Poet. Angel of Healing: for the Living, the Dying, and the Praying, has cooled my heart with the pure waters of wisdom.

... and it all starts with that first "Good Morning, Lord!" And fresh as a brand new sunrise are these inspired thoughts that seek to oil the wheels of passage through birth, death and beyond. Both dawn and dusk bring with them their messages of hope for those who cast their gaze upwards and outwards. They know how to find bread to bless others. ADORE the gorgeous yawning stretch of that last stanza. Piquant. TY Kate xx
