...ah, such memories of childhood...

As children we did as well play,

In and out of the ocean during our day,

Tans so dark hard we were to see as night,

Our butts below our bathing suits bright white…

Mom used to show off the comparison,

After all I was so I thought her son,

Grandparents, aunts and uncles saw our white,

Through the summer months we darkened from light…

The winter months our tans did exit,

Now from the sun I cannot even take off my shirt,

Too much tanning as a kid, the suns rays we did then permit,

So much worry now of cancer and death,

Childhood was much better, no worries of someday having no breath…

In memory I can even smell the Banana Boat suntan lotion we all used and with me...freckle to freckle you could connect the dots.
Thanks for the memories.
