today is the anniversary of 9-11 dear God please keep America safe from anymore harm. i wrote this poem when it first happened.

"AMERICA"

Written by Alice Donatelli

When I think about America,
I hang my head to cry,
When I think of all the victims,
that didn't have to die.
My heart is sad and heavy,
from all the horror that we saw.
And to think that this great nation,
may have to go to war.
When will all this violence end?
When there's no one left to save,
to rid our world of hatered,
Is this the price we'll have to pay?
America was always ready,
to help in time of need.
But all we got from some countries,
was jealousy and greed.
But we will conquer all our enemies,
America will never bend.
We'll fight with pride and honor,
until the very end.

AMEN!!

Powerful writing! God gave me the gift of words on this day five years ago, so this tragedy brought out something good in me and in my twin sister! God bless America again and never forget!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( >tears! <

Alice,

On that dark day, many expressed their grief, horror, outrage in verse; many lives lost, but some were saved, as well: mine, for one. That day is the day God gave me words.

Powerfully moving, heartbreaking tribute from a saddened heart, very well penned.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
