As I strolled through the heavens
Among the fluffiness
Of snow whtie cotton clouds
I cam upon, A Sleeping Angel
I stood before Her
And awe at the magnificent beauty
The Gods bestowed upon
The loveliness of her face
I laid next to her
For I was compelled
To whisper
Sonnets and poetry
Softly into her ears
Hoping she awakens
Without me placing my hands
On the sacredmess of her body.

I was mesmerized
By this heavenly soul
That laid there
A blessing to my vision
Would be a sin
For me to place
Or dare touch an Angel
I caressed the softness
Of the golden downs
That adorned her wings
Will it be a sin?
If I decided to kiss
Her beautiful face.

Immediately
She inhaled a deep breath
Stretching
Her arms and golden wings
Moaning and groawning gently
Into a state of alertness
She opened her eyes
When she glanced,in my direction
I was horrified
Her eyes were blood red
What have I done?
Have I awaken
A sleeping dark dragon
Of legends
In masquerade?

Uh Oh! A sudden revelation of an unexpected truth? What if all angel's eyes prove to be red, or purple for that matter? Hmm, our idea of beauty may yet be challenged. lol! Good poem, William, I like its unexpected twist!

William,
An unexpected twist - and revelation - as to what may really lie, inside, what appears to be... a vision of loveliness!

Outstanding form, D'Artagnan!

Nice twist, William, and what a nightmare that lovely dream turned into. It would do well to serve as a reminder that things are not always as they seem and many whom we trust should not be trusted. Very nice work!
Take care,
Sherry
