I lovethe colors of the fall.  When the leaves turn, gold and red, falling from the trees, they remind me of golden  pirate coins, while rose petals fall from the sky.  As the  crisp air intoxicates and inspires.......

Before My Chapter Closes
Let me stand on pirate coins
Let the sky rain roses
Let me drink the sweetest  wine
Before my chapter closes
Let me write a poem or two
From underneath this veil
Let my words......ambassador
Stories...dreams....and tales
Let me find those words that float
And drift by most....unseen
Let me share them, if you will
And all those inbetween
Stand with me on pirate coins
Let the sky rain roses
Drink the wine of sweetest rhyme
Before my chapter closes

Ah the beautiful seen, unseen, felt, unfelt, heard and unheard riches on earth that we have still to taste, smell, touch, feel and hear before our last chapter closes. And to savour it all standing with bare feet upon a bed of precious stones untouched by the hand of man. Blissful chapter indeed.
