Only When You Ask

I met my friend last Wednesday at church
She was distraught about losing her
Precious old Bible
And had searched everywhere for it
Her car, at home, and at church
Thereupon I broke into prayer
“Dear Lord, if Anita’s Bible
is somewhere in the church
please reveal it to us. Thank you,
in Jesus name, Amen.”
Instead of leaving the matter in His hands
We commenced searching around the church
But that was a waste of time
Disappointed, my friend went back to her duties
And I went into the healing room.
Within minutes, she came to the healing room
“I found my Bible,” she beamed
“Thing is, I looked in that very spot
several times … it just wasn’t there.”
God is good. His ways are not our ways
The key is once you’ve asked
You have to leave it alone
And allow Him to guide you
His instructions will be a brief prompting
You have to exercise your faith
And follow the prompting!
You may have had similar experiences
Give thanks to God
For His kind mercies
And keep believing!
“If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you
ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall
be done unto you.”
(John 15:7)
