Sweet write, Stevie. My kids tamed and eventually adopted a stray cat that had obviously been abused. It was terrified me but after awhile, it started to allow the children to pet it. Now, it even allows me. It has joined their other two cats in their home. Thank you for this. Love and peace to you,
Regis |

Delightful and sentimental poem, that I so associate with, Steven. That's how it began for me over 12 years ago when I adopted a stray I named Momma -'cause soon thereafter she gave us 5 kittens! Momma passed on 2-1/2 months ago (still grieve for her), but I have her 5 kitties and two more.
Smokey Joe is a beauty, and resembles my Midnight.

I love this poem...I think we have all had that extra cat or dog...I had the extra cat...he didn't like to stay inside, but only for a few minutes...he stayed on our farm for years and then as quickly as he come...he left...I thought I saw him at a neighbor's house a few weeks later, but he wouldn't answer when I called...I guess he moved on to bring joy into another families life...great tribute and write.
Blessings,
